Making Friends
A project from the Animation Anteaters at UCI. This project was submitted to UCI's local Film Festival and awarded an Honorable Mention for being the first animated film to have ever been shown at ZotFest 2018
The initial concept, character designs, and the film direction were by me.
Making Friends is a collaborative 2D animated short.
Entering college, Penelope has her robot helper as her sole companion as she works long solitary hours in a lab. One day, the curious robot wanders off and meets Brendan, a friendly male student who shares a common interest in tinkering with Penelope. When the little robot recognizes Penelope's loneliness, it attempts to help her make a new friend.
